Tim McNair, CFO at BRD Noise and Vibration Control, Inc., appeared on Innovation Wins, an online streaming show on RVN Television presented by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The episode featured McNair’s live demonstration of the concept behind BRD’s line of sound attenuation solutions to keep mechanical equipment quiet. Show co-hosts Angelo Valletta and Doug Engler also invited McNair to share business insights that have helped BRD grow.

McNair’s appearance on Innovation Wars stems from BRD’s affiliation with Ben Franklin Technology Partners, an economic development program providing funding, business and technical expertise, and access to a network of expert resources to support early-stage and established companies.

“One of the first things we did with Ben Franklin was to work with Lehigh University to identify a process that allows us to use laser scanning to get a 3D rendering of a project site,” McNair recalled. “Now, what used to take 18-20 weeks to measure manually is completed a lot quicker and at lower cost.”

When asked to share his perspective on the role of technology in manufacturing today, McNair said, “If you’re a manufacturer today, you can’t sit still while technology evolves. My advice is to try something new and learn from it.”

Innovation Wars is Ben Franklin Technology Partner’s streaming television show featuring entrepreneurs and manufacturers with exciting technological innovations in Pennsylvania to inspire, inform, and intrigue viewers. Episodes air on RVN Television on Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm ET and Tuesday at 12 pm ET.
